Location:  Mohegan Sun 1 Mohegan Sun Blvd, Uncasville, CT 06382

Dates:

8Ball Event – Tues 7/15 thru Fri 7/18 – Check in is noon – first round is 3pm

9Ball Event – Sun 7/13 thru Tues 7/15 – Check in is 2pm – First round is 5pm

Masters Event – Tues 7/15 thru Thurs 7/17 – Check in is 1pm – First round is 3pm

Slot fee includes 4 rooms for the 8ball and 9ball team events and 3 rooms for the Masters event

We have 2 slots each for the 8ball ($3050 per team) and 9ball ($2200 per team) team events and 1 slot for the Masters Event ($1750)

These are full team events!  Up to 8 person roster for 8Ball and 9ball and 4 person roster for Masters

Will operate under higher level tournament rules.

Create your own dream team!  Players don’t have to be all on the same team together locally to play in this event!  All players must have 20 matches on their record in the last 2 years in the format they wish to play and all must be active on a team in that format in the summer session in our Greater DC Area APA.

There will be second chance events for both the 8ball and 9ball team events (Toledo Style)

Plan on MiniMania events as well!

Our 8Ball and 9Ball Qualifiers:

Registration for all qualifiers opens on 4/16 at noon

9Ball NEC Qualifier: 5/17 – Doors @ 8am, start playing at 9am

Open to first 24 teams to sign up & pay

Modified Single Elimination Bracket

$100 per team

Must have at least a 5 player roster that can meet the 23 rule to sign up

Any roster changes must be emailed by May 14th to be considered

All of the entry fees will be given to the winning teams for travel assistance to get to CT

OUR QUALIFIER FORMAT WILL BE A DIFFERENT FORMAT THAN THE ACTUAL NORTHEAST CHALLENGE IN ORDER TO SAVE TIME, OPEN IT UP TO A LARGE ENOUGH FIELD AND GET DOWN TO 2 WINNERS IN 1 DAY.

We will run a format similar to the Team Captain Qualifiers.  Teams will choose their 5 players that can make the 23 rule and list them in order low to high.  Those players will match up to the opponent’s roster accordingly.  Each match up will play 1 rack.  Whichever team wins that rack will break the next rack.

For 8ball – It is a race to 5 racks

For 9Ball – It is a race to 50 cumulative points for the team.  Points are scored just as APA 9ball is normally scored for an individual match.  For instance – Player A gets 3 points in the first rack and player B gets 7 points and makes the 9ball.  Team A gets 3 points toward their goal of 50, Team B gets 7 points toward their goal of 50 and Team B’s next player breaks the next rack.

One timeout per rack

All other typical APA rules apply.

Masters Qualifier:

Qualifier Date:  5/17 - Arrive at 2:30, Start at 3PM

Must be active on a Masters team and have 10 masters matches in the last year to participate in both the qualifier and the NEC
