Patch lady again (This is from Renee, the patch lady that sends all the patches out to you)
Curious... what do you do w/ your patches? Throw them in your pool bag or a drawer? If so... do you know about the "Lucky Draw" program?!?! For every patch you earn, but don't physically want, you can tell the office you want to be entered into the "LD" instead of receiving the patch. Every patch you earn, your name will get put on a ticket & at the end of the league year, we draw names for $100 bills !!! For example: every 100 tickets equals a $100 bill. The office will add money to round up to the next 100. So if there is 450 tickets.... the office will give away $500.
Here are a few stats: Week 7 ONLY - I mailed out 118 patches
There were only 10 Lucky Draws entered & 58 patches nobody wanted anything. Have you all seen the cost of postage... OMG!!
This is on top of the cost for us to buy the patches & have them shipped to us, & I try to hand out a lot of them at random tourneys. Candy spent roughly $1,500 since April on patches & she hasn't ordered in 4 months due to the "give 5 patches back - earn a chip"
Any questions... ask away 614-833-1009 or Candy@apaleagues.com
Here is the description of the Lucky draw straight from the bylaws:
Lucky Draw
Players that earn an accomplishment can opt to forgo the patch and have their name entered into the Lucky Draw Program. The drawing will be conducted at the 8-Ball World Qualifier in June. For every $100 dollars in the pot, we will draw 1 person to win $100.
The League office adds the $1 for EVERY patch swapped for a Lucky Draw entry. This includes Rackless patches.
There are no limits on the amount of entries one can have during the league year.
In the Scorekeeper “message the League Operator” field, YOU MUST type the player name, name of patch earned and that they request a Lucky Draw entry. If the Lucky Draw entry did not get requested and you do want it, you can submit a request at https://bit.ly/432Patches
