The Baton Rouge APA FREE Team Captain's Straight to Vegas qualifier is set for June 13, 2026 at Rickochet Billiards Prairieville. This is a free event (with the exception of quarters for the tables lol), and we will be awarding two, $3,000 value travel packages for teams to represent our area and compete in Vegas at the 2026 World Pool Championships in August.

There is no entry fee for this single elimination event. Players must have been listed as a captain for a minimum of two sessions during the 2025-26 league year (Summer 25, Fall 25, Spring 26 sessions). Three players per team for this qualifying level.
The total of the skill levels of the 3 players fielded in any team match cannot exceed 15.
• A player’s highest skill level between formats (8-Ball & 9-Ball) must be used towards the 15-Rule.
o Skill levels more than two years old will not be used in this event. Skill levels and scores must be current to be applicable.
o Skill level 8/9s will count as 7s in this tournament.
• Only one player of skill level 6 or higher, sometimes referred to as a senior skill level player, may play in any given match.
• Players may only participate on one team.
• Players must be from the same League area.
• Alternate between 8-Ball & 9-Ball racks, starting with 8-Ball. Each individual rack is worth one team point.
• Games Must Win chart will be used.
• Players must have at least twenty (20) 8-Ball League match scores or twenty (20) 9-Ball League match scores within the last two (2) years by the entry deadline of June 30, 2026. A combination of scores from the two formats is not allowed.
• Players must have completed two (2) sessions as a Team Captain of a standard 8-Ball, 9-Ball, or Ladies team in the 2025/2026 League year in the area the team represents. Teams must be in separate sessions. Players are not allowed to captain two teams in the same session and still be eligible for this event.
• Players must have played at least four (4) times in the Spring Session in the League area the team represents. Matches played can be in either the standard 8-Ball, 9-Ball or Ladies formats.
• Players must be on an active (Summer Session) APA roster.
