That's a wrap on the 2025 APA World Pool Championships and it was a fine showing by your contingent from Baton Rouge APA.

In the main draws, 8-ball and 9-ball team events, four of the eight teams earned their way into the money rounds. In 8-ball, which boasted an impressive total of 793 teams participating in the event, three of the four Baton Rouge teams made the money led by You Cried for It finishing tied for 65th. The Saloon Shooters and Slop Shots each finished tied for 129 and earned some cheese while Rollin' on the River finished tied for 769.

In 9-ball with 681 teams participating, Genuine Bull was our bell-cow (pardon the pun) turning in the highest finish by a Baton Rouge team with a tie for 33rd. The all-ladies 9-ball team, Senior League, made a solid run finishing in a tie for 129th. Canal Bank 9 finished tied for 257 while Patti's Crew came in tied for 513.

In the Team Captain's event Corner Kids finished tied for 193 while Bad English and Let the Good Shots Roll each finished tied for 257.

Another 12 players were able to make a mark in the mini tournaments cashing in several events.

In all for BR APA, another successful foray to Sin City to participate in the biggest and best amateur pool tournament in the world!

We are already well underway to see who will represent Baton Rouge in the 2026 event!
