World Pool Championships update: Heading into the elimination rounds of the 8-ball championship event, three of the four Baton Rouge area teams are still alive!

On the one loss side, team You Cried for it, advanced last night and will play at 2 p.m. (Vegas time) today.

Slop Shots and the Saloon Shooters each held serve and remain on the winners side heading into the single elimination rounds. Both will play tonight at 7 p.m. (Vegas time - 9 p.m. local).

Rollin' on the River finished their event in a tie for 769th.

Still to come next week: 9-ball team event and team captains format!

The World Pool Championships run for our 8-ball team contingent from Baton Rouge wrapped up yesterday with three of the four teams finishing in the money! You Cried for it led the way finishing in a tie for 65th out of 793 teams. Slop Shots and The Saloon Shooters each finished tied for 129th after solid runs to make the money rounds.
