World Pool Championships Update

World Pool Championships update: Heading into the elimination rounds of the 8-ball championship event, three of the four Baton Rouge area teams are still alive!

On the one loss side, team You Cried for it, advanced last night and will play at 2 p.m. (Vegas time) today.

Slop Shots and the Saloon Shooters each held serve and remain on the winners side heading into the single elimination rounds. Both will play tonight at 7 p.m. (Vegas time - 9 p.m. local).

Rollin' on the River finished their event in a tie for 769th.

Still to come next week: 9-ball team event and team captains format!

Tomorrow is the due date for both the World Qualifier certification forms as well as the greens fees for those teams qualified.We are still missing items from several teams....On Monday we will post the "tardy list" and publicly shame all those who are unable to get this simple task complete. Then I will start the process of having to track you down and look at you disapprovingly.But seriously, pl
