Update after day one at the APA Poolplayer Championships from the Westgate Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Fine showing by both of our 9-ball scotch doubles teams with both making it into the money rounds. Team Bang a Rang (Shana Eschete and Arthur Wiggins) finished in a tie for 33rd while team Pika Shot (Zach Crawford and Bailee Doucet) wrapped the event in a tie for 65th out of 383 teams.

Also opening the event is our 8-ball singles players with several still on the winners side heading into Monday's action. Brennon Oubre, Brian Williams, Keith Degraw, and Trent Smelser are all currently tied for 65th with Brian playing at 9 a.m. and the other three scheduled for 3 p.m. On the one loss side, Mike Sparks (t129) plays at 11 a.m. and Robbie Zelenty in a tie for 97th, plays at 1 p.m.

In other action, our ladies 8-ball team, Diamond Q's, gets started today at 1 p.m. with jack and jill (Beauty and the Beast) and 8-ball scotch doubles (This or That) both opening their respective events with 11 p.m. matches tonight.

Still to come, the 9-ball singles event with matches beginning on 5/1 and our two masters teams opening tomorrow.

Team Certification forms and Greens fees due date

Tomorrow is the due date for both the World Qualifier certification forms as well as the greens fees for those teams qualified.We are still missing items from several teams....On Monday we will post the "tardy list" and publicly shame all those who are unable to get this simple task complete. Then I will start the process of having to track you down and look at you disapprovingly.But seriously, pl
