Super Singles Saturday - April 5, 2025 - Kenny's Cue Club

Did you know that you could win a trip to Vegas to compete in the APA Poolplayer Championships as a singles player? It's true! -- in fact we have 12 local Baton Rouge APA players headed to Vegas in just a few weeks to compete in the 2025 event!

You will compete with other players in (or close to) your skill level tier (in the 8-ball or 9-ball format) to win a travel expenses paid trip to Las Vegas to compete in your skill level tier and win up to $15,000!

The first step is to play on and win a local qualifier board. Normally, set up as single-elimination format boards, you'll compete against three other players to "win a board" and advance to compete in one of two singles regionals in the local area. Depending on the time of year you qualify, you will advance to either the fall regionals (October) or spring regionals (March). Win your tier at the regionals and you're off to Vegas for the Big Show!

Board entry is just $35. Players must be on an active team in the format they wish to play (8-or-9 ball) with a minimum of 10 matches played in the format in the last two years. Qualified players must remain active in the format through the main event to retain qualified status.

Super Singles Saturday is April 5th at Kenny's Cue Club. Doors open at 9 a.m. Hosted by national referee and singles board guru Leroy Simmons.

Ever since the Baton Rouge APA MVP Throwdown was created years ago, one glaring omission from the event was our Master's division players. Since the current MVP structure is based on a points per match configuration geared to standard format 8/9 ball as well as ladies 8-ball, Master's with their current match structure just didn't fit in. So with that in mind, we've created a new event to coincide
