Spring Session Reminders

BOUNTY DRAWINGS
The Bounty Drawings for last session will take place on Dec. 19th at 5:30 P.M. Our little elf Jenny has lots of stuff she nicked from Santa Dart's workshop to give away. So if you qualified for the bounty program giveaways check us out at 5:30 p.m. Thursday on Facebook live. Bounties will start up again in week 4.

FALL 2024 TRI CUPS
The Tri Cups for Fall 2024 will take place on Feb. 8-9 at Trickshots Sports Bar. 8-ball is set for the 8th while 9-ball teams will play on Feb. 9. Qualifying teams at the Tri Cup event will advance to the Baton Rouge APA World Qualifier, May 22-26, 2025 at L'Auberge Hotel and Casino. Details including pairings and eligibility rosters to follow in January.

SESSION AWARDS
High Point Winner plaques and Big Dawg plaques will be distributed at the Fall Tri Cups.

ROSTER CHANGES
The Spring session is the final qualifying session of the year. IMPORTANT .... Teams that have already qualified for the World Qualifier have until the end of the fourth week of play to make any roster changes. Following week 4, rosters of qualified teams are locked and no changes can be made.

Non-qualified teams have until the final four weeks of play to make changes as is the norm.

ANNUAL DUES
Annual dues ($30) to the APA National Office are due by the fourth week of play. Following that time any unpaid members will be removed from rosters. Please renew/pay your annual dues ONLINE through the APA website or app as those fees go directly to the national office. Renewals can be done through players online member services account or visit join.poolplayers.com

DO NOT SEND YOUR ANNUAL DUES ($30) TO THE LOCAL LEAGUE OFFICE (me) as we incur fees for those transactions that we do not get reimbursed for from the national office. Paying to the local league office will result in those transaction fees being charged back to your team. (we do not like to do that but those fees can get excessive)

NEW PLAYER REMINDERS
All new players start as a skill level 3. From that point, their skill level will depend on performance and could fluctuate wildly in the first few weeks of play until they become established. Moral of the story...don't freak out if they jump around a good bit in the first few weeks.

IMPORTANT...If you are a qualified team or become qualified, remember that all players must have a minimum of four matches with the qualified team in the spring session and 10 matches played lifetime in the specific format by the end of the spring session to be eligible to participate in the World Qualifier....

Fall 2024 BATON ROUGE APA MVP THROWDOWN
The 2024 Fall Session Baton Rouge APA MVP Throwdown is set for March 15-16 at Kenny's Cue Club. Details regarding the event will be distributed in January.

MASTER'S/LADIES/8 BALL DOUBLES QUALIFIER
Will be held Feb. 22-23. More details to follow in January.

HOLIDAY CLOSURES
We do not have any scheduled play on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day or New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. All other days are scheduled as normal.
