The 2024 Poolplayer Championships have come to a close for our Baton Rouge APA contingent at the Westgate Resort and Casino. Two top-10 finishes highlighted the week in Vegas (and another runner up showing for yours truly, but enough about that) as the ladies led the way.
Melissa DeJean finished tied for 9th in 8-ball (sl5 tier) out of a staggering 277 players while Madison McCrory shone in 9-ball (sl1-3 tier) against a solid field of 120 players.
In all, four players finished top 33 or better with Darby James and Reece Guerin turning in T33 showings in 9-ball and 8-ball respectively.
Next up is the Baton Rouge APA World Qualifiers at L'Auberge at the end of May followed by the APA World Pool Championships in August!
