FREE... what a great word... free from jail, free drinks, free lunch, free tickets... I mean, who doesn't love free!

And this weekend is our biggest free tournament of the year! (well one of the two biggest).

It's our FREE Team Captain's Straight to Vegas tournament at Trickshots Sports Bar. Winner gets a FREE $3,000 travel package to Vegas in August to compete in the national event. And if you're the runner up, we've got an extra spot to send a team so you get first dibs on that pay-your-way slot (even though we still cover entry and greens fees for ya). There's still time to put a team together and sign up or reach out to see if a team is looking for an additional player. Here are the details...

Saturday, April 1 at Trickshots Sports Bar

Single Elimination event

Check in 9 a.m./start 10 a.m.

Teams must register via the online google docs form at https://forms.gle/wfiez44wpDwQwUFh6

• A maximum of 3 players allowed on roster.

• The total of the skill levels of the 3 players fielded in any team match cannot exceed 15.

• A player’s highest skill level between formats (8-Ball & 9-Ball) must be used towards the 15-Rule. Exception – skill level 8/9s will

count as 7s in this tournament.

• Only one player of skill level 6 or higher, sometimes referred to as a senior skill level player, may play in any given match.

• Players may only participate on one team.

• Players must be from the same League area.

• Single Elimination Format

• Alternate between 8-Ball & 9-Ball racks, starting with 8-Ball. Each individual rack is worth one team point.

• Games Must Win chart will be used.

• Players must have at least twenty (20) 8-Ball scores or twenty (20) 9-Ball scores within the last two (2) years by the entry deadline

of June 30, 2023. A combination of scores from the two formats is not allowed.

• Players must have completed two (2) sessions as a Team Captain of a standard 8-Ball, 9-Ball, or Ladies team in the 2022/2023

League year in the area the team represents.

• Players must have played at least four (4) times in the Spring Session in the League area the team represents. Matches played

can be in either the standard 8-Ball, 9-Ball or Ladies formats.

• Players must be on an active (Summer Session) APA roster.

• Preregistration is required.

Tomorrow is the due date for both the World Qualifier certification forms as well as the greens fees for those teams qualified.We are still missing items from several teams....On Monday we will post the "tardy list" and publicly shame all those who are unable to get this simple task complete.
