Final tri cup reminders:
Tri cup is set for this weekend at Kenny's Cue Club
Saturday, Feb. 19 - 8 ball
Sunday, Feb. 20 - 9 ball
brackets, rosters, and times are available online at batonrouge.apaleagues.com
IT WILL BE CROWDED. We are running 9 tables Saturday morning and no less than seven tables for any round of the event. That being said, please make sure to be courteous to the shooting players, especially when moving around the tables, ensure that scorekeepers - for both teams - and shooting players have a place to sit for the matches. I do not want to have to come and move people to ensure fair seating - like in grade school - but will do so if necessary. Be kind to one another and make certain any individuals with special needs are accommodated.
One timeout per player per rack regardless of skill level. Timeouts are to last a max of one minute (we have timers available) and teams have one minute to declare a player for the next match.
Sudden death will be in effect for this event. In 8-ball, teams must be in the fifth individual match by the 3:45 mark or sudden death will be called for any matches that have not yet started. In a sudden death match, a max of two racks will be played. First rack is worth 2 points, second is worth 1 point. Winner of 2 point rack is match winner for tie breaker situations.
In 9-ball, sudden death is called at the 3 hour mark. Teams must be in the fifth individual match or sudden death rules apply to any matches that have not started. In 9-ball, ball counts are doubled for sudden death matches.
Please check your round times carefully as we will not hold any matches for late arrivals.
Teams that won high point during last session in their division may pick up their plaques at the control table.
Qualifying teams advance to the Baton Rouge APA World Qualifiers, May 26-30 at L'Auberge Hotel and Casino.
Good luck to all teams participating.
