In today's update from the governor, Louisiana will be moving into phase 3 as of tomorrow, Wednesday, March 3.
What does that mean for our APA family?
Bars in all parishes will be open at 25 percent and at 50 percent in parishes with below 5 percent positivity for two consecutive weeks.
SO THIS MEANS WE CAN GET ROLLING AGAIN!
At this time, we are reaching out to the host locations in areas that were currently hosting teams (fall 2020) to determine when they will be ready to open. At that time, we will restart those divisions so they can finish the fall session. Hopefully we will get these divisions restarted before the end of this week. I'll post more information on exact dates as soon as we're ready to go.
If you are not currently listed (in the Fall 2020 session) as playing at your normal location and wish to return to that location (which had been closed), you MUST REACH OUT AND LET ME KNOW ASAP so I can make those adjustments. We've had so much movement and change in the last few months, I'll need to know if your team wishes to make a location change.
Next week we will be finishing the summer scotch doubles divisions playoffs which will allow us to wrap up those summer divisions and create the new Spring 2021 session.
We are anticipating starting play for those areas not currently in the midst of a session on Monday, March 15th. This is for teams which normally play in our Monday night north Livingston double jeopardy division, River area Monday and Wednesday divisions, and East Baton Rouge divisions that were not participating in the Fall 2020 session including Ladies and Masters.
Thanks for the patience and sticking with us. We will have more information on a slew of qualifying events (8 and 9 ball doubles qualifiers, Jack and Jill, Team Captains) as well as dates for Spring 2019 Tri Cups (yes we will post a list of qualified teams) and the Fall 2020 Tri Cups as soon as we can.
If you have any other questions just let me know.
Dart and Jenny
