SPRING SESSION 2025 8-BALL SINGLES PLAYERS TOURNAMENT
At 5th Street Billiards in Dupo Saturday and Sunday, May 17 & 18, 2025
Sign-Up Deadline – All paid entries must be in a turned in team envelope or in a regular envelope and in a drop box by noon Saturday, May 10, 2025
Players must be paid APA members and be on a current Midwest Illinois APA roster with 6 Spring Session plays on any Midwest Illinois APA 8-Ball or 9-Ball team to be eligible to participate. All players must have at least 10 original 8-ball scores within the last year to play at their current handicap. (Players with less scores or no 8-ball scores can participate; however, they may have to start one level higher.)
Tournament handicaps will be based on each Player’s Spring Session ending handicap.
There will be three brackets for skill levels in this tournament: 2’s & 3’s; 4’s & 5’s; and 6’s & 7’s. Standard short format (games must win chart) will be used. 4’s, 5’s, 6’s & 7’s will play on Saturday, May 17; 2’s & 3’s will play Sunday, May 18.
This tournament is single elimination. First place winners in each bracket will receive a trophy and $500 cash. Players are guaranteed $25 with their first win. (Byes do not count as a win.)
A ten dollar ($10) entry fee will be charged. 100% of the entry fees will be added to the payout prizes.
A first match time list will be posted a few days prior to the start of the tourney. Players must check in at the control table before their first posted match time. Saturday & Sunday first round of play will begin at 10 AM. Doors open at 9:00 AM.

Playoffs for Divisions with Less Than 8 Teams

For divisions with 6 or 7 teams, one team will win a slot to the end of session Tri-Annual Tournament in 8-Ball and one slot in the World Team Qualifiers in 9-Ball. May 24, 2025 at Caseyville Bridge Inn Summer Session team envelopes for Tuesday-Thursday will be available for pick up from noon to 2 PM.
