Exciting Changes Coming to the APA Austin Pool League!

Hey APA Austin Players,

We have some big news to share with you about the future of our league! As we continue to grow and thrive, the APA National Office has decided that we must split our franchise into two separate leagues: APA Austin North and APA Austin South.

This change will officially take effect at the start of the Summer Session, and while it may seem like a big shift, we’re excited about the opportunities this brings for all of you as players!

What This Means for You:

✅ Weekly Play: No Change - same night, same venue, same teams/divisions, play pool and have fun!

✅ More Local Tournament Action! Each region will have its own Tri-Annuals and World Qualifiers, giving more teams a shot at the big stage.

✅ More Chances to Qualify for Vegas! With two separate franchises, we’ll have more slots available for teams to advance. Based on the split if team counts remain the same we will have 1 extra slot for 8 ball and 1 extra slot for 9 ball.

✅ Play in Both Regions! You’ll have the opportunity to compete in both the North and the South, doubling your chances to qualify for Vegas.

✅ Same League Operators, Same Great Experience! We will both (Vinny and Hugo) continue to run both franchises together, ensuring a smooth transition with the same level of support and dedication you’ve come to expect.

We know change can be an adjustment, but we want to assure you that we’re doing everything possible to make this transition as seamless as possible for our players and teams. The main difference will be that host locations will be designated as either North or South, which will determine where teams play moving forward. We’ll be sending out more details and a FAQ document in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. While this decision was made at the National level and is not negotiable, we truly believe it brings exciting new opportunities for all of you.
