Beware the 23 rule(SKILL LEVEL LIMIT)

Most 23 rule violations occur during Double Jeopardy matches. Losing track of which players played 9-Ball instead of 8-Ball or forgetting the difference in skill level for a player between 8 & 9-Ball. These seem to be the most common occurrences.

Secondly, when using the double play rule. *You must be able to show that with 5 players played on your roster you can meet the 23 limit* Here is an example of the 23 rule violation when the double play rule is used. Team 1 roster looks like this. 7,6,6,5,5,4,4,2. They play 7,6,2,5 in the first 4 matches with the expectation to play the 2 again. In this case the 23 rule has been broken because if a 5th player played they cannot stay at or under 23. If this team had a 3 on the roster then the use of the double play would be ok. All points are forfeited for the match if the team breaks the skill level limit. This is a National rule. Skill level limit information can be found in the Official Team Manual on page 33-34. Please let me know if you have any questions.
